Essentials of EM 2016 Education Fellowship now open for US EM Residents!

Earlier this week, we opened up the EEM 2016 Education Fellowship to Canadian Emergency Medicine residents, in partnership with CanadiEM and The Skeptics’ Guide to Emergency Medicine.

Today, we’re excited to announce that the competition is now open for United States Emergency Medicine residents! We’ve teamed up again with our original partners-in-crime, Michelle Lin at Academic Life in Emergency Medicine and Scott Weingart at EMCrit. Apply now for an exclusive chance to see how we do medical education:

Gabe Sudario (PGY2 UCSF): “Words cannot describe what an incredible opportunity this was for me. As someone who has been interested in medical education since early in medical school, I could not have asked for a better experience… Thank you SO SO MUCH for allowing me to be part of this process.“

EEMFellowshipBlogPostThe Essentials of Emergency Medicine (EEM) conference is one of the largest EM conferences of the year with over 2,000 participants. This year it will be held at the Cosmopolitan Hotel from May 10-12, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  EEM is offering a mini-fellowship to eligible EM residents within Canada and the United States. The selected residents will work side-by-side with internationally-recognized educators as part of the most popular EM educational conference in the world. Fellow responsibilities will include online chat moderation, social media management, CME preparation, research projects, and more. Do not miss this chance to be a part of the EEM team! Those selected to participate will receive:

  • FREE Live conference registration
  • FREE 4-night hotel stay at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
  • A $500 US travel stipend
  • A rare opportunity to meet and interact with EM’s master educators

The Application Process: Only one application submission per resident. Canadian applicants may apply through either CanadiEM or The SGEM. United States applicants may apply through either EMCrit or ALiEM. Applicants must be current residents in good standing at an accredited Emergency Medicine training program. Applicants will complete a brief online application and upload material through the online form. The application process is open now, and the deadline for submissions is February 8, 2016 at 11:59pm PST. Final decisions will be announced March 7, 2016.
