Billy Mallon is at your service. You decide his lecture topic!

We are excited to be moving Essentials of EM to May. Who doesn’t love Las Vegas in May? Plus we don’t have to wait until the fall to see the EEM family again.  This year, we’re giving you control of the conference topics. (at least a few of them) That’s right, we are giving you the opportunity to have 3 of our incredible EEM faculty take your topics, hit the books and produce exclusive, custom, and shiny new lectures just for you. What more could you ask for?

Tweet @EssentialsofEM, using the hashtag #EEM16, and suggest your ideas for a topic and faculty by March 15, 2016. Choose from Al Sacchetti, Billy Mallon, or Haney Mallemat. The faculty will pick from your suggested topics. Choose your topics wisely… you know how Billy can get when let loose on stage!

When you’re done tweeting, register for the conference to hear your lecture live! The $50 Early Bird discount ends soon, on April 1st.

We hope to see you all at the big show. Register Today

Low-Risk Chest Pain ADP SHOWDOWN (Using TIMI vs HEART): Pt. 1 of 3 – HEART

Ohh…you asked for it. At last week’s EEM studio session, REBEL EM’s Salim Rezaie went head-to-head with EMRAP’s Cameron Berg about how they use HEART vs TIMI in their low-risk chest pain ADPs.

This week we kick it off with Dr. Rezaie and his evidence-based approach to low-risk chest pain using the HEART score.

For more info, check out REBEL EM’s post here. Next week, we’ll hear from Dr. Berg and his evidence-based approach to low-risk chest pain using the TIMI score. We’ll round it out the following week, as these two go head-to-head and answer your questions, moderated by the one and only Rob Orman.

Now, if you love this, you’re gonna love our big show coming up in May 10-12, 2016 at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

Join us for a FREE session on Thursday! Unraveling TIAs and headaches.

This Thursday, at our FREE live online Essentials in-studio session, we’ll be going over your most requested accelerated diagnostic protocols, such as TIA: who stays and who goes home?

You know how it goes, a Code Stroke rolls in and you think to yourself, “Easy, we have a protocol for that.” CT is negative and as you start calling up the neurologist and ordering the tPA, the nurse says, “Oh his deficits are gone.” You thought this was going to be an easy admission, now it looks like a TIA. What next? Dr. Cameron Berg goes over a fool-proof protocol during our FREE live online session this Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 8:00am-11:30am PST.

He’ll be joined by Drs. Rob Orman (EM:RAP), Salim Rezaie (REBEL EM), and Joe Bellezzo (ED ECMO) for the highest yield practical knowledge you’ve heard in awhile. Check out the schedule below and join the moderated online chat on Thursday to ask the faculty your questions!
